Dahlia May Flower Farm —founded in 2014–is a farm that specializes in growing cut flowers.

Dahlia May spreads joy throughout the community, offering flowers via their on-farm store —which operates 12 months of the year at their farm at 1226 Stockdale Rd in Trenton—, as well as through their local fresh flower delivery service, which brings their blooms to customers in the greater Quinte area, from Napanee through to Cobourg. Dahlia May’s distinctive bouquets can also be found locally at specialty grocer Fawn Over Market in Carrying Place, Small Scale Bakery in Belleville, and The Brake Room Cafe in Belleville.

Each year, Dahlia May produces 4 acres of blooms on their farm in the rolling Murray Hills, through a combination of heated greenhouses, unheated hoop-houses and open field production. From fresh tulips in the greenhouse in the depths of winter, to acres of dahlias in the summer and fall, there is always something beautiful blooming at the farm.

Seasonally offering fresh cut Christmas trees, handmade wreaths, outdoor winter planter, fresh floral centrepieces, mason jars of mixed blooms, potted plants and more!

Dahlia May also offers seasonal workshops, and summer farm tour events, as well as a variety of tubers, bulbs and corms that can be shipped to gardeners across Canada every spring and fall.

Dahlia May’s most meaningful work is in sharing their abundance of beautiful blooms by providing fresh flowers (through their community subsidized program) to local residents in long term care homes, hospitals and hospices.

From humble beginnings eight years ago, Dahlia May Flower Farm has been featured by Chatelaine Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens, The Toronto Star, CBC television and radio, PayPal, Google, Canadian Florist Magazine and more. Dahlia May was named Agri-Business of the Year in 2019 at the Quinte Business Achievement Award and owner Melanie Harrington was awarded the title of Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018.
