Owen and Jackie Harder live in an energy efficient home, which is off the grid. They live and teach sustainable living, working with heavy horses on 50 acres.

Elsie and Al Lafreniere grow vegetables, herbs and plants on their farm on the Black River Road, north west of Tweed. They also make clay planters, which they fill with plants.
