Location

After working for many years in restaurants in Kingston as a head waiter and sommelier (wine steward who expertly matches food with the appropriate vintages) he moved back to the family farm Huffman Dale Holstein Farm on Harmony Road to live with his mother Wilma to set up a market garden. Carl is a talented cook as is his mother. They grow flowers, vegetables and herbs in their garden Not only does Carl sell produce at the farm gate at Carl’s’ Country Corner stall, he has a deliver service in Thurlow. Every afternoon between 4.30 p.m. and 6 p.m. he takes fresh vegetables, frozen entrees and home baking to homes in Thurlow ward.

They grows all sorts of vegetables, annuals, perennials, and bulbs. Carl makes lovely floral arrangements and does canning and preserving the old fashioned way.

He has maple syrup and home-baking for sale ,and he does some catering, landscaping and outdoor design consultations. Garden tours are available upon request by reservation. Carl will do grass cutting through the summer and in winter he does light snow shoveling, and makes outdoor Christmas decorations, and fresh wreaths for you.
