The home farm is 225 acres, with 150 acres across the road. They rent another 100 acres.They rear 100 cows and 60 yearling and 60 calves. The yearling go to a feeder farm for Kerr Farms. Kerr Farms leads a group of Ontario family farmers who raise beef the traditional way and vegetables the organic way.
Clarence O’Connor is a bee keeper. He takes his bees to Russett Orchards each spring so the bees can pollinate the apple trees. He also take his bees to Colin Matthew’s farm to help pollinate his organic soya bean and buckwheat crops.
