Fred and Taleana Jeffs and their children Amanda, Emily, Andrew and LeeAnne run a 65 cow dairy farm at 130 Hoards Road, in Stirling-Rawdon. Fred's father the late Ralph Jeffs bought the farm in 1946. Amanda, who is a graduate of Guelph University in animal biology, now farms with her father. Emily, a Loyalist graduate, runs a day care facility at the farm. Andrew works with Widespread and helps on the farm in the summer with hay making and LeeAnne is at school. The Jeffs rear replacement registered pedigree heifers for other dairy farmers and also have a sugar bush, corn patch and vegetable garden.
At present they make maple syrup for their own use, but may expand the operation in the future. They sell fresh corn and vegetables at their stall at the farmgate.
