The Cooney family, Mav and Linda, Rodney and Lisa run The Apple Store, on their farm five miles north of Stirling.The Apple Store is open from the May long weekend everyday until December 31.
Langevin Farms are run by Don and Chris Langevin. They breed Simmental beef cattle on their farm at 2209 Quin Mo Lac Road near Tweed. The Simmental breed dates back to the Middle Ages. They originally came from Switzerland and were introduced into Canada in 1967. They are excellent both for milk production and beef.
Dale, Fay and Mark Grant of Gran-Jou Farms breed Black Angus beef cattle. “They are bred, born and raised on our farm, from free-range contented cows," said Dale.
