This is where authentic, fresh and delicious food is made by hand, often with other women sharing traditional recipes and cooking techniques from the old country. The pasta table is where our Nonna shared her love of good food and taught us the art of making fresh pasta from scratch.
Situated in the heart of Trenton, The Port Bistro Pub is located in a beautifully restored historical building overlooking the Trent waterway. In the summer season, there is a spacious patio where you can watch the boats pass.

The Rural Roots Cafe in Bancroft offers fresh locally grown and raised food. Owner Sherry Hayes is the new owner.

The one-time Ingram’s Hardware store has re-opened as the Coe Hill Farmer’s Market Cafe and Bakery. The old-style hardware store closed more than a decade ago. It reopened for a couple years as the Old Dog Cafe bakery a few years ago. Now husband and wife team of Jessie Wilson and Faz Rahman have a plan for the building.
Elsie and Al Lafreniere grow vegetables, herbs and plants on their farm on the Black River Road, north west of Tweed. They also make clay planters, which they fill with plants. They also run the famous Green Donkey Tea Room, which is open this fall for high teas
