Upon entering The Craftsman Restaurant, you might think that you have stumbled upon someone's kitchen, rather than walking into a restaurant. People will be bantering back and forth between tables, as your hosts Jim, Ramona and The Craftsman crew look after everyone like they were Family.
Located up the small hill on Hwy.#28 in Paudash, The Craftsman Restaurant, Paudash's original country diner, is a local favourite. The atmosphere is down home and their motto is "Real food for real people". While you are there, check out Jim's memorabilia collection of neat old stuff.
The Craftsman Restaurant is ten minutes from Bancroft and opens daily for breakfast at 7 a.m. Wednesday to Friday, at 8 a.m. on Saturday and at 9 a.m. on Sunday. The Restaurant is Fully Licensed and you can check out the chalk boards for Jim's Specials. The staff will always let you know about the Daily Specials. Wednesday is "Steak Night" and on Sunday, there is a Roast Beef Dinner with all the trimmings. The Craftsman may be a country diner, but Jim is a bona fide chef. The Craftsman also has a separate Kids' Menu.
So if you don't feel like cooking and are looking for a good time and a great meal, come in to The Craftsman Restaurant. They also have a private events room available.
The Craftsman Restaurant is located 8 kms. south of Bancroft on Hwy. #28 between Paudash School Road and Hwy.#118.
