Local Farmers and Artisans:

Remington Valley

Sisters April and Melody Metcalf, together with their aunt and uncle, Joanne and Dave Rawlings, run Remington Valley alpacas at their farm on Palmateer Road near Tweed. They moved from the Markham/Stouffville area several years ago in search of a more peaceful lifestyle and decided that their new farm was the perfect location to raise alpacas. Since then, it has been an exciting and rewarding adventure. Remington Valley raises quality Huacaya alpacas of their own and provides boarding for ten Suri alpacas.

Alpacas have remarkable fibre that is softer than cashmere and warmer than sheep's wool. Remington Valley offers luxurious yarn created from fibre shorn from its own animals as well as alpaca socks, insoles and other alpaca-related products. For more information or to arrange a farm visit contact alpacas [at] remingtonvalley [dot] com.

Remington Valley is a member of Alpaca Ontario. Founded in 2001 Alpaca Ontario was established to represent the collective interests of alpaca owners and breeders in Ontario.
