John Bell has been making paddles since 1971. He established Red Tail Paddle Co. in 1992 and has  been in Hastings County at his current location since Aug 2012.
He employs five full time employees including one employee who have been with him for 27 years!
They make beautiful handcrafted paddles using aspen, maple, ash, cherry and walnut. He has many large clients including Mountain Equipment Co-op. He makes custom and specialty paddles which he sells worldwide.
John sources as much of the wood he uses for his paddle locally.
