Community Trees  2011 

Supported by Hastings Stewardship Council and the Municipalities of Tweed, Deseronto, Centre Hastings, Stirling - Rawdon,  Marmora and Lake and the City of Belleville .

 Saturday April 30, 8 a.m. – noon in rural locations throughout South Hastings. 

Saturday May 7, 8 a.m.– noon at City of Belleville Farmers Market 

Trees are free in limited quantities to residents of these Municipalities

Chain saw - cutter training course

Cutter Training Course

The cutter training course is two days of intensive chainsaw training with an emphasis on safety. The first day is a classroom setting with a combination of short lectures, videos and hands on maintenance with plenty of opportunities for questions and input from participants.  The second day is in the woodlot, assessing trees, using directional felling techniques and dealing with problem trees. Day two is limited to eight participants.
