If you thinking about growing asparagus, in your back yard or on a larger scale commerically, come to the Farmer to Farmer Workshop hosted by Jack and Betty Ketcheson of J & B Asparagus. You will learn about soil preparation, planting using seed or crowns, weed control and harvesting. There is scope for people to get into growing asparagus commerically as there is a big demand for locally grown asparagus.
