Visit the Ottawa Tulip Festival

April 15, 2010 by Louise Livingstone

The Gilead Community Friendship Guild with Carl Huffman as organizer and promote is hosting a bus trip to Ottawa on Saturday May 15. "We need at least 40 people to make it a go," says Carl. "The trip would be on Saturday May 15, leaving Gilead Community Hall at 8 a.m. and returning by 9 p.m. If we get at least 40 people the entire cost would only be $30 dollars/person. Wow!, that's a great deal.

"Not only will there be millions of tulips, there will be several other attractions of interest because this is the 65th Anniversary of Canadians liberating Holland in the World War, military displays, parades, Parliament Hill, the Byward Market and excellent restaurants "

You may even want to visit some museums or the casino in Gatineau. I thought that some of our Hastings contacts, friends and family might like to get out for a wonderful day in Canada's capital and meet some new and old friends at the same time. Contact Carl Huffman at (613) 477-1332.
