Sustainability

The County of Hastings County includes Hastings County, the City of Belleville and the City of Quinte West and the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, with its forests, farmland, lakes, rivers and small and large communities, is well situated to lead in the field of alternative energy development, conservation of natural resources,  sustainable agriculture and forestry and artisan food production. 

Harvest Hastings is about living lightly on the land. Sustainability has four sections on land stewardship, tree planting, managing woods and wildlife at  Caring for Land; discussion about Climate Change; finfd out about Green Communities, and read about what's happening in Local Agriculture. Stirling Groundhogfest St. Andrew's Fish Fry

Come to the Stirling and District Lions Groundhog Fest and enjoy a traditional fish fry at St.Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 97 Edward Street, Stirling. Adults $15, and $7 for  children under 12.

Stirling Groundhogfest Medieval Feast

The Stirling and District Lions Groundhogfest is all about food and having fun. Marmora Snowfest

Stirling Groundhogfest 2011 Chicken Dinner

Come to the Stirling Lions' Groundhogfest in Stirling from January 27 - January 30 and enjoy some great locally cooked meals. There is a chicken dinner at the Stirling Legion on Friday. $10 per person followed by entertainment and karaoke.
