Heirloom Edibles is a small non-certified organic farm started in 2017 by Irene Bemister and Stan Saich. We grow a variety of non-GMO, pesticide and fertilizer free heirloom and unusual vegetables.  We also specialize in tomatoes, hot peppers, as well as many other vegetables and herbs. Strict organic principles are utilized in our growing methods and seeds are purchased from only certified organic suppliers.  We also save our own seeds where possible to assist with managing our crop inputs.  We farm with a walk behind tractor and adjustable harrow, which allows for minimum tillage of the soil and allows us to build healthy soils for our vegetables to grow in. During mid-Spring, we sell vegetable seedlings and herbs. In the spring/summer/fall, we run a CSA program and sell local honey, along with farm-gate and bulk sales.

For 2020 we are once again offering a 20 week summer Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, and building on our 2018 success, are continuing to experiment with extending into the fall to early winter months. Becoming a member of a CSA creates a relationship between you, the food you eat, the land on which it is grown and the farmer.  Local food is fresher and tastes better as it is harvested only hours before being picked up. Beginning approximately mid-June to mid-October, our members receive fresh, local, seasonal vegetables and herbs. During the beginning of the season, in addition to a weekly box of 7-10 (or more) different sustainably grown vegetables you may receive a jar of jam, relish, dried peppers or garlic with your CSA membership.  Variety will change weekly as the season progresses. We are transparent with all of our CSA members and customers concerning our farming practices and we encourage members to visit the farm and ask questions.
