Coe Hill Farmers Market, in conjunction with Harvest Hastings, presents the Harvest Hastings Festival on Saturday, August 27, 2011 from 10 a.m. – 1 a.m. at the Coe Hill Community Centre.
A strong emphasis on local foods and music will bring a message of sustainability in agriculture and an awareness of the economic and environmental impact of local production and services. It also presents a marketplace for the inclusion of local foods in private and public institutions, i.e.: schools, food banks, restaurants and businesses.
The event will launch “The Hastings Country Music Project” to showcase a broad spectrum of the musical heritage of the county which has long been a part of our agricultural and rural way of life.
