Environmental Farm Plan Two-day Workshops

Increase your environmental awareness

 Two-day Environmental Plan workshop Day 1 October 12, 2016 9.30 a.m. - 3 p.m. and October 19, 2016 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) helps the farmer increase their environmental awareness and understand Ontario best practices and regulations. With a free workbook provided, the farmer assesses up to 23 different areas on their farm ( fuel & fertilizers storage, erosion risk, manure storage, etc). They identify their farm's environmental strengths, identify areas of environmental concern, and set realistic action plans with time tables to improve environmental conditions. The EFP can then be used in conjunction with cost-share programs to begin implementing their action plans. to get the most from this workshop the participant should analyze their own farm or have a specific farm to analyze.

To be eligible for cost-share funding, the EFP must be Edition 3 or 4 and within the last 5 years.

Next intake for cost-share funding is October 17 to November 4, 2016.
