Climate change:new ways for wildlife

White tailed deer and turkeys face challenges

Discover how our wild animals are learning to move with the climate. The Hastings Stewardship Council presents Climate Change: New Ways for Wildlife, the fourth presentation in the Winter Speaker Series.

Weather patterns are becoming more extreme and unpredictable, and all plants and animals are being challenged to adapt to these new conditions. Hear the latest reports from two wildlife specialists. Melissa Laplante and Lisa Solomon, management biologists with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, will talk about changing population dynamics under a warming climate with a focus on deer and wild turkeys.
