If you want to plant trees on your land this spring, make sure to place your seedling order with Quinte Conservation before March 31.
“Contact us right away,” urges Alana Nunn, stewardship coordinator with Quinte Conservation. “Each spring there are a few folks who leave it too late and are disappointed.”
White cedar and hard maple have sold out but many species of coniferous, deciduous and wildlife shrub seedlings are still available.
Tree seedlings are six to 18 inches in height depending on species and age. Cost is 55 cents per conifer and 75 cents per deciduous tree or shrub plus a $20.00 shipping and handling fee. Any landowner within the Quinte Conservation area of jurisdiction (watershed boundary) may order trees. There is no minimum acreage requirement but seedlings must be ordered in increments of 100 per species.

Trees must be picked-up by the customer in early May. The trees are bare root stock and must be planted soon after they are picked up.
