If you would like to grow your own vegetables but don’t have any land you can now rent a 50 foot by 50 foot garden plot from Thompson Family Farms at 1207 Sills Road, Centre Hastings. The farm is an easy 20 minute drive north of Belleville, just a short way off Highway #62. It is in easy reach of Stirling, Marmora, Madoc and Tweed.
The cultivated garden plots have top quality soil and are ready for planting. Your plot is in a secured location, individually marked out and there is vehicle access. Well water is available.
You will have unlimited access from May 1 to September 15 for the 2009 season and you will have first option for the same plot for the 2010 season by booking at the end of the 2009 season.
The plots are available on a first come, first serve basis.
