The Apple Store celebrates 25th harvest

Stirling-Rawdon – Marv Cooney remembers day’s end during harvest season as a boy and being sent out onto a gently sloping section of the family farmhouse roof to retrieve the hundreds of apple slices set out there to dry.
And just as fondly, he remembers his mother giving those dried apples a fresh life in the dead of winter when a hot apple pie would arrive at the table.
