Conrad and Jarrett Switzer, along with Jarrett’s wife Dannielle, are the third and fourth generation to farm at 655 Clear Lake Road, off Hwy 28 E less than 10 minutes from Bancroft. Their farm is a mixed operation with an emphasis on and seasonal fruits and vegetables. They also sell weaned calves at the sale barn for other farmers to rear on.
Beginning in 2020, Switzers’ Farm relocated its farmer’s market to the farm gate from where it had been since the mid 1970s in downtown Bancroft, in response to the pandemic. With a succesful year behind them, plans are already underway for offering their fresh fruit and vegetables from the farm gate again this year on specific days, Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays.
Produce includes potatoes,  carrots, cucumbers, sweet corn, cabbage, pumpkins, squash, onions, kale, garlic, dill, tomatoes and so much more. Handy produce bags change weekly and are offered in three different sizes for singles, couples and families. Pre-orders are encouraged with payment by e-transfer. Visit Switzer’s Farm on Facebook for weekly offerings as they change as the season progresses.
The Switzer family is proud to be working together to carry on the family history of farming in North Hastings.

Come for the freshness, stay for the view at Switzers’ Farm!
