The cleanup is complete in 75% of the Deloro project area and has resulted in significant improvement to environmental conditions at the site. Clean up of the red mud tailings area to the east of the Moira River was completed in 2012. Cleanup of the industrial and mine area was completed in 2017.
Work is ongoing in the Young’s Creek area to safely secure remaining contaminated sediments in the Toung’s Creek flood plain.
