The new Harvest Hastings Magazine is full of pictures and stories about the people who grow food, harvest timber, create furniture, bake bread and much more. There is a guide to help you use the “How to Shop Hastings County” page on the website. The comprehensive glossary of terms enables you to make informed decisions about what you buy. It has a directory of many of the producers with short descriptions and their contact information.
We live in a county of impressive abundance. Harvest Hastings encourages you to live and buy locally. The more we know about our vibrant agricultural community, our sustainable forests, and healthy ecosystems the more we can do to build resilient communities and a sustainable future for people of Hastings County, the City of Belleville and City of Quinte West. The magazine is available at Grills Orchards, The Village Green Belleville Library, City of Belleville, City of Quinte West, Hastings County, Stirling Rawdon, Stirling Rawdon Public Library, Moira River Food Company in Tweed, Mapledale Cheese, amongst other places. If you would like a copy and can’t find one locally, please contact Louise Livingstone inforwww.harvesthastings.ca or (613) 395-4388. You can read it below or  download it
