Maker’s Dozen (TM) is an independent Canadian maker studio, run by Kate Hayday and Neil Gower from their log cabin in Quinte West. Maker’s Dozen “makes” in as many ways as possible — from writing programs (making code) to raising chickens (making eggs) to planting trees (making a future). Kate and Neil share coding and design work, and everyone helps out with the chickens. Maker’s Dozen products include needle felting kits featuring local wool roving, art from wild foraged inks and natural dyes, illustrated greeting cards, wood burned and linocut prints, eco-friendly household products, tree planting, workshops, and nature-themed mini-games for smartphones.
Make everything. Try, learn, share, repeat.
