Little relief for farmers

The province did not announce it will take steps to provide disaster assistance for eastern Ontario farmers as your article implied. Ontario’s Minister of Agriculture Ted McMeekin simply turned it over to the federal government and asked for aid under the AgriRecovery, which is a disaster relief program. He didn’t announce any provincial help or drought assistance for farmers. Nothing. Zilch.
