As if this long, cold winter was enough to give you the blues, here come higher natural gas prices.
Enbridge says it has nearly run out of its winter natural gas supplies and has to buy more expensive energy supplies. It is asking Ontario regulators to approve a 40% increase. The company has applied for a rate hike it says would boost the annual bill for typical households by nearly $400 dollars a year. A typical home spends about $1000 annually on natural gas.
