Each year, thousands of people visit Prince Edward County to eat what’s grown there. Whether it’s at the farm gate, in restaurants specializing in local foods or at culinary events throughout the year, Taste the County has created a unique and vital link between consumers and the many farmers of Prince Edward County. This not-for-profit organization has worked tirelessly to promote the county’s agricultural heritage. And it brings together businesses as varied as wineries, artisan food producers, artists’ studios, abattoirs and accommodation providers to support the path of food from farm to table. It has set a high standard in Ontario for the development of tourist destinations with food as the primary draw.
