The Bancroft Combined Heat and Power Plant is an initiative of County Power Corporation (CPC) and the Bancroft Minden Forest Company (BMFC) to develop a biomass (wood residue) Combined Heat and Power plant (CHP) to sell a minimum of 10MWe to the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) grid, provide contract kiln drying and district heating. The plant will strengthen the local primary forest products industry and be a major boost to the economy, positively affecting the lives of hundreds of people.
