Local residents will now be able to enjoy an extra day at the 4th Annual
Sustainable Living Symposium. The event organized by 11 regional non-profits
has expanded from one day to two. The event is held on the last weekend of March
with the Saturday, March 28, featuring workshops and a trade show at Loyalist College. New
this year is a Green Homes Bus Tour on Sunday.
“This event is getting bigger every year” says Caroline Zawadzki, symposium
co-ordinator, “the event books solid every year, and to accommodate the growing
interest a second day was added.”
The symposium focus is on local solutions, local services, and local businesses.
Local experts encourage Quinte citizens to explore earth-friendly and cost-effective
solutions from food and agriculture, home renovation and building, to
renewable energy, landscaping and healthy and responsible living.
Spaces are limited and pre-registration is required. For program details and to
register visit www.quintesustainability.ca or call Quinte Conservation at
