David Ferguson does commissioned furniture pieces and produces art installations. Some work is available at Wildewood gallery, and at Brush with the North, both in Maynooth. An exhibition of new work is scheduled to open Sept 8 at Wildewood. He works from his off grid location south of Bancroft using locally sourced hardwood and solar power. You might see some live edges but you will certainly see text and icons incorporated into the work.

After graduating from the media studies program at Ryerson U,(now Metro U) David exhibited his photographs across Canada in public art galleries. He moved full time in 2006 to the Bncroft area to complete his off grid passive solar designed home. Its nearly completed! He worked with the Art Gallery of Bancroft for 7 years serving as president for one term and participated in the Bancroft and Area Study Tour for 5 years. Now he is working on the installation “the Seats of Privilege” and promoting it for exhibition. There is gardening, forestry, foraging, kayaking, and biking to attend to into the spare time. You can reach him best by email at [email protected]
